We realised that we use our tablets for drawing, reading or sending
e-mails on the go, but when we are at the office or at home sitting at
our desk, we put them aside as is always more comfortable to work using a
large display.
Most tablet displays are very good, with a high
pixel density and resolution, but they are underused within the work
environment. Studies indicate that having a second monitor increases you
focus and productivity, so why not use your tablet as a second screen?
Pixo allows you to combine the use of your tablet, with the use you make of your desktop computer.
Pixo can be attached to different types of display
The Pixo mount works by a mix of magnetic attraction and friction.
Strong neodymium magnets are covered in rubber to get a good grip on to
your monitor and tablet, and of also to avoid scratching them in any
way.
Strong magnets concealed in the mount attract the metallic stickers which are provided with the mount.
Place two metallic stickers on you desktop monitor, one at the
front and one at the back ( or on the side if the profile of the display
is flat). Then place the last sticker on the back of your tablet. Done!
Easy to set up, with srong and removable stickers
With Pixo your tablet is not locked or constraint. You can pick it up
at anytime, use it for a while, then place it back into the mount
easily.
Do you need to access some of your iOS or Android apps content? Just
grab it.
Super strong magnets secure the mount to your display
Pixo uses very strong magnets to seamlessly attach to your computer,
this makes it compatible with most displays on the market, no matter if
they have flat sides or tapered edges ( see below for
compatibility).
You can add up to four tablets to your display and connect them as a single screen using a third part app.
Because of its magnetic attachment, Pixo is compatible with lots of different types of desktops and tablets.
The tablet just needs to be 9 mm or less in thickness and weight less than 750 grams.
The monitor bezel need to have a 12mm width or more to place the magnetic sticker at the front.
That is all!
Pixo comes with a set of three metallic stickers, two small ones
for your display, and a large one for your tablet. Place the three
metallic stickers and you are ready to go.
If your tablet has a flat back, it is 9 mm or less of thickness and it weights less than 750 grams, that is good news! Pixo will work with your tablet.

It can be mounted on most desktops and holds a wide range of tablets
( just needs to be 9mm or less in thickness and less that 750 grams of
weight).
Strong neodymium magnets hold the tablet securely while allowing you to pick it up when you need to use it.
It can be used by itself, or together with a third part app to
sync the content of the screen ( e.g. Duet Display, Air Display or
iDisplay).
Use in portrait or landscape format (landscape just for tablets up to 9.7” tablets and 500gms weight)
We have done a ton of prototypes and tested different methods to
attach the tablet. At the end we decided on magnets as it allows more
flexibility in terms of sizes and tablet models.

We wanted Pixo to be compatible not only with as many tablets
currently in the market as possible, but even with tablets that don’t
exist yet.
As tablets are getting thinner and lighter the task was to design a
mount that could accommodate different sizes and thickness. Having just a
sticker on the back allowed us to do that.

The prototypes we tested of Pixo have changed the way we use and
interact with our iPad at the studio. We hope the product will make the
same for you, and you will use your tablet in more ways than before!
When paired with a third part sharing screen app. Pixo allows
you to use your tablet to place all the palettes while using your
desktop in full screen to retouch photos, edit video or mix music.

We are in the final stages of product development, and after many
iterations and multiple tests, the prototypes that you saw in the video,
work as expected.
Although this is our first Kickstarter, we have designed many
products for other companies before, and we have a strong team of
collaborators and partners that will help us on this new adventure.
If(Once) we secure the funding for the first production run we plan
to oversee the manufacturing, ensuring you get a quality product.
We are aware that there are issues that may arise with lead times,
problems with tooling or the manufacturing process, as well as the
post-production and dispatch of Pixo, but we have factored any potential
obstacles into our planning, and we will react swiftly to any problems
that we encounter. Regular updates will be posted in the campaign page.

No, the magnets will not affect in ay way your iPad/tablet or Desktop
computer. The magnets in PIXO are the same as those found in the Apple
Smart Cover. Apple and many other brands
use often neodymium magnets on their devices and they don’t
interfere in any way with the modern tablets or computer memory storage
discs.
If your tablet has a flat back, is 9mm or less in thickness and
weight less that 750gms, that is very good news! Your tablet will be
compatible with the PIXO mount.
No. The mount is specifically designed for working on desktop monitors and won't work on a laptop.

couldn't find it. Could you measure the edge of your monitor? If the
bezel has 12 mm or more the mount will be compatible. That is the width
of the metallic sticker.

intention is to add value to your tablet by helping people to use it in
other situations. Tablets are not exactly cheap and lay unused most of
the time.

Whilst viewing angles on modern tablets are good, it would seem sensible
for the tablet to be held facing the user, especially for long term use
and the associated ergonomics.....

to be on the safe side, but we didn't tried with a 15.6" screen.
Considering that being magnetic the weight and thickness is all what
matters, it should work.
